This June 2010 we had over 60 children from around the area attend our annual Vacation Bible School.  We spent four days exploring our Wonderful, Amazing, Incredible, Magnificant and Awesome God.  We sang, danced, played games, heard Bible stories and enjoyed a snack together.  What a great way to kick off summer.  Watch this site to see what we have in store for you next summer.

What is LOGOS? LOGOS Literally means “The Word.” IN John 1:1-18 LOGOS in translated “Word”; “in the beginning was the Word...and the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us…” The LOGOS weekly ministry is one way of continuing the experience of the incarnation of Christ; by helping our church bring The Word to children.

What happens at LOGOS? Living Waters weekly LOGOS is offered to children Pre-K thru 5th grade. We open each night in our Sanctuary with music. From there every child sits down to a family style dinner; with table parents to help with serving and to engage the kids in discussion about “what’s up” with them. After dinner time our children break up into groups based on age and rotate to a 1/2 hour session of either Worship time, Bible time or Craft/Recreation time; the children will rotate to all of the areas during the evening. At the end of the night we all gather back into the Sanctuary for closing.

Why should your child participate in LOGOS? At LOGOS there is only one rule… Treat every person as a child of God. NO one is to treat others as if they do not matter. Our LOGOS experience will allow your child to develop Christian relationships with not only God but the congregation, pastor, church leaders, parents, other adults, and peers. Your child will have a network of support and love that will hold them up and celebrate their victories as well as help them with their struggles.

Why should you participate in LOGOS? For many of the same reasons your child should participate so should you. Working with our children is a great way to continue to grow our church family and our own Christian Relationships. Don’t forget that often times in parenting more is caught then is taught. Show your children your love and support of them through your love and support of their LOGOS program.
